Angry Birds Approach 100 Million Downloads

Total downloads Angry Birds phenomenal game to date has nearly 100 million. Thus disclosed Rovio executive, Peter Vesterbaka.

Angry Birds have always been a top-seller for the iPhone and Android devices. This game also will soon be visited console Xbox 360 (Microsoft), PlayStation 3 (Sony) and Nintendo DS.

However, Vesterbaka rate, the mobile games market is still a major. "When you see the gaming market, the trend is now shifting to mobile," he explained.

"Recently, the developers move into the mobile gaming console. In fact, once that happens the other way around," continued Vesterbaka.

"The iPhone changed everything. We should thank Apple for having turned this business. iPhones bring us forget the old games model. Currently, the developers focus on making great games. That is the legacy of the App Store,"explained Versterbaka again.

Since established 2003, Rovio has created 52 games for various mobile platforms. Finnish developer even got involved in projects other games, like Need For Speed for EA.
